“Les Miserables” in England and Irish
The film adaptation of the classic Les Miserables record revenue of £ 8.13 million in the UK and Ireland within three days.
By director Tom Hooper also became the best-selling movie to work musical theater adaptation of Mamma Mia! in 2008.
“Great to see Les Miserables became the largest producer of films in the United Kingdom,” said Eric Fellner of Working Title film company.
“We are obviously very proud of this film and just like musical theater, will be a global phenomenon.”
Premiere in London, the first week in December 2012, was enlivened by the presence of a star.
Internationally, Les Miserables has now reached more than 124 million pounds more and is predicted to attract a large number of spectators.
Mamma Mia! musical based on Abba won 5.2 million pounds in the first week since launch.
In second place the movie in the first week of the largest income is launching a 3D edition of Life of Pi works of Ang Lee, with pemasikan 2.3 million pounds.
